Evaluating Hi-Bird Bicycles: A Dealer’s Quality Checklist

By March 21, 2024No Comments

A dealer needs more than a claim that a bicycle is ‘high quality’. The useful question is whether the supplied model matches the agreed specification and can be sold and serviced with confidence. This is Hi-Bird’s own evaluation guide, not an independent test or a scored review.

Start with a named model and specification

Ask for the current specification of the bicycle you are considering. Record the wheel and frame size, drivetrain, brakes, tyres and included accessories. If a sample has different parts from the proposed order, ask which build the quotation covers. A photograph or model name alone may not answer that.

Inspect the sample systematically

Review the finish, visible joints, alignment and the condition of parts after delivery. Check the assembly instructions and identify work your shop must complete before sale. Functional checks should be carried out by a competent bicycle mechanic; a quick ride is not a substitute for proper assembly and inspection.

  • Does the sample match the agreed parts list?
  • Are the supplied accessories and packing consistent with the quote?
  • What adjustment or assembly is required?
  • Are there written instructions and a clear service contact?

Ask for evidence rather than broad claims

If you require a test report or certification for your market, request the current document and check which product it covers. Do not infer certification from a logo on a website. Hi-Bird does not make a blanket testing or certification promise in this article.

Assess support as part of the purchase

Request the warranty wording and the route for claims. Ask what information is needed to report a fault, how replacement parts are ordered and how transit damage is handled. Record these terms before presenting them to a customer. Warranty exclusions and responsibilities matter as much as the headline duration.

Make the first order a clear reference

Keep the approved specification, quotation and any sample sign-off together. Agree how substitutions are handled and what will be supplied on repeat orders. For a private-label project, include the approved artwork and packing brief as well.

Hi-Bird is based in Ludhiana and accepts dealer, bulk-order and OEM/private-label enquiries. The product and commercial terms for your requirement need a current quotation.

Ask Hi-Bird about a model, sample or supply requirement.
