Wholesaler
A wholesaler buys in volume and sells to many shops in a district or city. Higher capital and a godown are needed, and you manage credit to retailers. Margins per cycle are thinner but volume is larger.
Distributor
A distributor holds a territory for a brand, supplies dealers, and often handles promotion and after-sale support. It needs capital, a team and a good track record with retailers. It suits someone who already knows the local trade.
